About us
We are Katharina & Daniel with our dogs Buddy & Lili.
Our longing for nature and peace brought us to the countryside in Sweden.
We’ve found a beautiful place and love to share it with others who are also looking for peace and nature.
Whether for a short break for a few days or an extended vacation.
🌿Why vegan breakfast?
Since we have been eating a purely plant-based diet for many years, we appreciate it when there is good vegan food available, and especially on vacation it can sometimes be difficult to find something (if you want to eat out).
Therefore, we want to allow our guests to take a break from preparing their own meals during their holiday. – Of course, everyone is welcome here, regardless of their dietary preferences! We have many non-vegan friends and guests who enjoy our vegan meals very much. 😊  There are also many restaurants in the area (some even with a vegan selection).
Our personal story - briefly described
In Germany, we used to live in the Ruhr area (the “Ruhrgebiet”): a very densely populated region.
Then we traveled a lot for a while (mostly with our caravan) and were looking for a permanent place to settle down.
Our dream was to live on a small farm, grow our own vegetables and have the forest right around the corner.
When we discovered the farm in November 2024, we thought: If not now, when?! 🙂
We consider it a great privilege to live here and want to share this beautiful place with people who also appreciate it.
Therefore, we are delighted that our guesthouse “Peaceful Cabin” offers such a wonderful opportunity to do so.
Buddy & Lili
We live with our two dogs, Buddy (approx. 13-15 years old, from Romania) and Lili (approx. 5 years old, from Spain).
Buddy loves meeting new people (both human & animal) and is reserved, but still very sociable and curious.
Lili is still more cautious, but also very sweet and likes all people. She’s a real lapdog.
If you like dogs and are up for it, we let ours run free in the yard – they might even come up to you sometimes.
If you’d rather not have them run free, or if you have a dog that doesn’t like that, that’s absolutely no problem:
We have a large fenced area where we can easily keep our dogs separate.
